The Director

Emily Page, our Director, was a college teacher by profession for over 25 years; designing curriculum, managing staff and coursework at Columbia College Chicago where she earned her B.A. She discovered Montessori through her own child’s education right here at Gateway Montessori School.
She completed her AMI certification, student teaching at both Gateway Montessori and Forest Bluff School in Lake Bluff, Illinois. She received her Master’s in Education from Loyola University Maryland.
Emily’s career has been in education, and working for non-profits in order to benefit the lives of students of all ages. She will continue the important work started by our founder; to share the joy of Montessori education, to support families, and to nurture the potential within each child.
